Slot Operations

SUMMARY:  Assists and aids guest, patrons, and departments by paying out jackpots, filling hoppers, using money pouches, making minor repairs on slot machines, manning the gaming customer service booth, assist with drink service, assist Marketing with events, and maintaining general cleanliness of the gaming floor. Assists guests and patrons by being their single source of communication, information and assistance during their on-premise experience, primarily in the areas of gaming and marketing.

• Possess money-handling skills (ability to count money and give change swiftly and accurately)

1. Processes jackpots and fills.
2. Makes change for guests for use in slot machines.
3. Utilizes hand computers to redeem slot machine tickets.
4. Uses and balances pouch.
5. Maintains knowledge of the slot machines on the gaming floor and explains machine features to the guest.
6. Assists guest in signing up for and utilizing Player’s Club Card.
7. Maintains current knowledge of Little River Casino Resort operations, programs, events, and services and have ability to communicate that information to a guest in a professional manner.
8. Provides quality customer service on a continuous basis.
9. Performs preventative maintenance on slot machines.
10. Assists in keeping the gaming floor neat and orderly.
11. Must attend mandatory trainings and meetings on an ongoing basis.
12. Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Little River Casino        Resort and of the Slot Operations Department.
13. Takes responsibility for, personally and by attending marketing meetings, an understanding of the marketing programs and promotional activities that impact guests and patrons that include, but are not limited to River Credits, Sweepstakes, Food and Beverage, Entertainment, Players Club, Group Sales and Hotel.
14. Must successfully complete the LRCR AML program’s Title 31 Training and testing prior to performing job duties and continue recertification as required.

Must be able to hear and speak to customers. Must be able to operate computer equipment for extended periods of time.  Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods in excess of 4 hours.  Must be able to walk, sit, and/or stand for long periods of time.  Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects up to 250 pounds with assistance throughout a shift.  Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, twist and independently lift up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout a shift.  Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate computer equipment.  Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions. 
Gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke.  Extensive computer use.  Must be flexible with work schedule.  Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs.  Occasional overtime required.  Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.

Conditions of employment with Little River Casino Resort include passing a pre-employment drug test, a background investigation to secure a gaming license and successfully completing a three-month introductory period.  Candidates for this position will be required to have dependable transportation available to them without notice.
Individual must not have been charged or released from employment or involved in anything which could be considered a liability to the Resort, e.g. harassment, theft, violence, or integrity issues.
