Job Description

1 Full Time
Indian Preference is applicable in accordance with Ordinance #15-600-02
Provide exceptional customer service by enrolling new and current club members, carrying out promotions, entering data into the current casino management system, and providing general property information.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • 6 months of Data Entry and 10 key experience
  • 6 months of high volume customer service experience

  • Strong verbal, written and computer communication skills
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and teamwork skills necessary to maintain quality service delivery
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately key data into the database
  • Able to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner and work with minimal supervision
  • Able to work cooperatively with all departments
  • Able to operate a microphone and office equipment (computer, fax, copier, etc.)
  • Able to learn the current casino management system within 30 days of employment
  • Able to maintain high confidentiality
  • Able to operate a multi-line phone and handle high volumes of high calls
  1. Maintains player card use on gaming floor to identify non-card players in order to encourage enrollment in player card program.
  2. Performs all duties in accordance with Little River Resort customer service standards.
  3. Maintains current and new account information on members.
  4. Provides account information and Marketing promotion eligibility to members upon request.
  5. Maintains working knowledge of all Little River operations, programs, events, promotions and services.
  6. Occasionally assists with special events, promotions and make announcements over the intercom system.
  7. Answers telephones and provides information to callers and/or route calls to appropriate persons.
  8. Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Little River Casino Resort and of the Marketing department.
Must be able to communicate using verbal, written and computer methods.  Must be able to operate computer equipment for extended periods of time.  Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and exert fast-paced mobility for periods in excess of 8 hours. Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate office equipment.  Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions. Must be able to lift or move up to 15 pounds.
Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke.  Extensive computer use.  Must be flexible with work schedule.  Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs.  Occasional overtime required.  Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals.  High volume direct public contact.

All Little River Casino Resort employees are responsible to ensure that their designated operations are in compliance with Little River Casino Resort policies and Tribal gaming regulations.
Conditions of employment with Little River Casino Resort include passing a pre-employment drug test, a background investigation to secure a license from the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians Gaming Commission and successfully completing a three-month introductory period.  Candidates for this position will be required to have dependable transportation available to them without notice. 
Individual must not have been charged or released from employment or involved in anything which could be considered a liability to the Resort, e.g. harassment, theft, violence, or integrity issues.
