Roots on the River Kickoff Bash!

Head on over to the Veterans Memorial parking lot (right across Maple Street bridge) after the 4th of July Parade to join Music Sparks Meaning in a full day of live music and fun! There will be a beer tent featuring local brews, lawn games, food trucks, live music all day, a raffle, and so much more! This event is the kickoff for the Roots on the River concert series, running on Thursdays throughout July and August. Among several local favorite groups performing throughout the day, the featured band for the evening will be Cold Leather Seats: An Americana band from western Michigan, the Cold Leather Seats’ sound can be described as, “if the Zac Brown Band recorded an indie-folk album.” Composed of frontman and lead singer- Alex Svoboda, bassist- Issac Frisbie, vocalist- Elizabeth Ostoin, and violinist- Bella Worthing, the band has found success through their evocative story telling and genre bending performances.
