Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center: “Cyber Security: Meeting DOD Expectations for Supply Chain”
In our increasingly connected and digital world, cyber security has become one of the most important issues for businesses as well as consumers. Cyber-attacks have risen dramatically. Companies have gone out of business as a result of being hacked, and Michigan’s small and medium-sized businesses are particularly vulnerable. As a result, supply chain risk management and information security are gaining prominence and the attention of executives across our state and our nation. This presentation will address the current cyber security environment, examine guidelines in place such as NIST 800-171, which is the basis for compliance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 252.204-7012, and provide insights on what companies can do to comply and protect their business.
SBDC: “Cyber Workshop”
SBDC workshop is designed for small business owners (no technology background assumed) who want to understand more about their internet security risks and how they can protect their business from the major problems that will result from a cyber-attack. Topics will include:
Industrial Risk Mitigation Panel
The panel consists of cyber security experts from around the state who are at the forefront of working to protect small business owners or investigate and prosecute the attackers.
