Name: Forest Bathing at Misty Acres - A Mindful Hike
Date: September 14, 2019
Time: 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM EDT
Event Description:
Join us for a forest bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) experience at the Misty Acres Nature Preserve. Volunteer Don Schuster will lead participants on a slow, contemplative walk that will connect you with nature and its restorative benefits. You will be amazed how refreshed you feel after 2 hours in the woods! The Basics: Don will assist you in finding your own authentic way of interacting with nature using the principles of forest bathing. During the hike, there will be moments of guidance offered, along with moments where you choose where to put your focus. Your sense of wonder for the natural world is your guide! We anticipate that participants will hike a short distance at a very slow pace. What should I bring? - Dress for the weather - Comfortable shoes - Consider bringing a re-usable water bottle and some snacks - Bug repellant and sunscreen if desired Directions: https://goo.gl/maps/aXXpYhiMfVmizRHf8 Thank you for your interest in our event!
