*Family *Fiber *Fotography and sometimes *Food Marie Wohadlo talks about her "Ahht", Thursday Aug. 17, 2017 at 7PM, at the Betsie Valley District Library. Having twice survived art school, Marie makes "ahht" based upon life's commonalities. Family, food, pets, daily life, and other quotidian scenes are transmuted into handmade and tactile objects. She says, "seeing is believing but touching is knowing". Marie will also talk about her ArtPrize Nine (2017) entry, "lllll.still.lllll, a photographic shawl made with 168,603 glass beads, to be shown at the Grand Rapids Police Department, mid-September through early October.
