Date: January 30, 2020
Time: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM EST
Event Description:

Train, Maintain & Retain Employees!

The Skills Funding Agency reports that 80% of companies who invest in apprentices report an increase in staff retention.

This Apprenticeship Information session will cover what an apprenticeship is, the process of developing the program and using apprenticeships to fill workforce gaps.

There will be an expert employer apprenticeship panel which will include partners from MR Products, Sleeping Bear Farms, and Iron Fish Distillery.  These companies will share their registered apprenticeship experience and answer questions about the practicality of the program. All businesses are invited and encouraged to attend it doesn’t matter what size company you have large or small, what industry you are in, if you are union or non-union.  There are apprenticeship programs for everyone!

There is no charge to attend the information session. Seating is limited and employers should RSVP to either Evelyn.Szpliet@NetworksNorthwest.org or Scot.Snyder@NetworksNorthwest.org.

Registered apprenticeships are offered through the U.S. Department of Labor and are a proven training method for employers to build a talent pipeline of highly-skilled, educated employees. Northwest Michigan

Works! provides technical assistance and administrative support for registered apprenticeships, including development and implementation guidance.
